Sailing

Our Objective

There is an ancient Chinese Proverb: “the longest journey begins with the first step.”

For us that first step was acquiring an iconic, local piece of property from which we could base the yacht club. We already had a couple of boats.  But we needed a place to call home. Somehow a yacht club without a clubhouse just didn’t make sense to us. 

Now that the club is open, we will begin to build first a fleet of sailboats, then after that is done we will develop a full sailing program that offers the following:

• Sailing Lessons
• Racing Lessons
• Active Racing Calendar
• Charters of the boats
• After School and Summer sailing programs
• Fiberglass sailboat restoration classes and services
• Discount Chandlery

We anticipate, over the next two years, building a fleet of one-design boats that we can use for education, recreation and racing on the Willapa Bay.
